How newspapers will end up.

John Oliver, in a brilliant YouTube video, sums up the vapour that was once news print journalism.

I have seen the CEO at our local council of 22,000 people move with out permission my microphone head. I have seen the Mayor at a citizen ceremony place a Bible, for swearing in the new Citizens, on top the the wireless microphone in a targeting of the device that hits the spot in a 2m^2 table down to the location the size of a match box.

Yes the council removed the "media" sign and replaced it with a specific title of a news paper, the only one with an office closing down in the district turning the lights out as it left town, so that the desk could not be used by new media.

It is sad but true that the main tent pole of the circus has been removed in the big top and the two clowns left behind are Bobo and FlappyFeet.

In other words the world focus has go global and it is not looking kindly at the Reo Olympics where the air quality is cited as worse than the water quality as hazardous for your health.

The other trend I am seeing is the roll out of the Auckland super city where it is suggested that the Mayor Auckland city should be on par with a senior Cabinet Minister.

What about amalgamating all the smaller counsels that have Mayors for 650 people on the Chatham Islands, 2,000 people in Twizel, South Island, and 5,000 people in Kawerau, North Island, into a Super Island council district.

Let's look at what that may look like
