South Waikato 2016 Election special 41 Days to go till close of polls

If asked why I have made a poster that says "Overstayer Jenny" it is only because Jenny parked her car in a fifteen minute council car parking spot and left it unattended for over one hour.
Who is going to give a Mayoral car advertising Jenny a car parking infringement right out side the council building. While little old men can not find parks to come and pay their rates the CEO HOBBS is turning a blind eye because the next Mayor gets to reappoint or renew his 5 year contract for CEO in three years. The Council staff are caught between a rock and a hard place. The CEO won't act. And to write up a ticked and to tow away the candidates car would put them off side with the CEO HOBBS. The irony is not lost on "experience" being really 4 terms of entitlement building. So the Meme is "Overstaying Jenny" her car parking shows contempt for the council rules and will not enforce the rule of law even if JP is bestowed. Ask any JP if wilfully breaking or disregarding the law is acceptable and a JP must say no. Was the advertising car out side the warehouse and council building on a busy day to promote the name recognition. Yes but the wrong message is Given. overstaying her parking time like everyone else must see a fine payed or car towed. So pay up Jenny. You owe the council an $15 infringement fee for each 1/4 hour. I count 6. So $100 must be added on to your council campaign spend budget. What if that puts you over with all the illegal parking hours. The returning officer will have to adjudicate this one. CEO Hobbs please put out a press statement to all candidates to not break council bylaws or the full force of the law will apply.

People ask why the meme Crack Head Alan is used

Well this man chose a smart car. And instead of a panel van for his big head he squeezed it on to the side of a compact electric car. And the black seam of the door divide runs a crack across his noggin. It looks like a crack on his head. A crack head for Alan is what he has put out to the public with no explain action. What a five year old sees is a crack on his head like if he was Humpty Dumpty who fell off the wall. Some may say that was not the intention of Alan to to be known as a Crack head. And picking a smart car to do the photo on may not have been a smart idea. So you get a person who means one thing and does another. Kind of like a crack in the head in the way of thinking. Good intentions pave the way to hell. And this picture is hell of an easy target for satire.

What about the two new kids on the block who have not sat around council table as elected members

Well we know that Jarrad is a big time 7 rugby kind of guy. How big we are just getting information in on. But he would offer a break from the past. Council would get back to basics and all the deals done in the past would be forgotten and the average person in the street would get a fair deal. Like the BP station at Tokoroa where the Logan Street entry off State Highway one was just shut down by council with out consulting further than the police and ambulance service. Logan street was just blocked off and shops suffered and went out of business. So No Ties Jarrad would break the ties with the past and reset and look to open up Logan street so it will become and entry and exit again and not force the public to all go to the BP station if they do not want to. Council staff mucked up and made a mistake and for 10 years the elected members have not fixed the mistake. Jarrad might perhaps if elected.

Why "Quote less Tracey". Well the news paper did this by not giving a mayoral candidate a quote of her own words in the paper when introducing all four candidates.. It is not Tracey at fault but a biased media. We have mentioned council puts $10,000 of advertising into the paper. Now the nominations have closed the paper has picked its winner and put that winner in front of the other three Candiates and then muted the only other women. For a women editor I give a brick bat for this photo.

Tracey has put her sign under the "welcome to tokoroa" sign and a person told me today that if you take a left hand turn corner unable to look over right to see Tracey's sign. By taking their eyes off the road only then can the Tracey sign be spotted. Own goal or was the paper biased. The sign needs to be with the other signs and not be alone.  Tracey's sign needs context and visibility.

And that sums up Tracey in the news paper without a quote because the paper has picked its winner.

This blog says no to bias.

So drops a hint on moving a sign to the better place to get a nudge back into the race because the news paper printed one candidate wirh a much bigger head than the others. We media must even the odds to be fair and unbiased. To print with out fear or favior. Remember we the public want to see a vision for south waikato from mayor. And the media is a watchdog if they park too long. You want your parking place open right?

Now yesterday we published also and counted the days left to polling again and found one extra day so ajusted it. No 43 days blog sorry, 45,44,42,41... That's how it goes now. No mistake left unmentioned.

So I want to know from the 28 ward Candiates which of the four candidates they would definitely leave out serving as deputy mayor under. What three would you leave in to serve as mayor possibilities.

It was too hard to do in a timely manner 28 ward candidates and ranked them in STV style for deputy for the four mayoral candidates I think.

Crack Head Alan would not even open the email,
Overstaying Jenny said no to selection before the polls close,
Quote less Tracey said she had had a quick look at the email.
Tieless Jarrad is not being tied down with this question and has said nothing as yet.

So let's be proactive. Ward Candiates pick your Mayor you would serve or not as their Deputy if asked.  You can say all of them. You can say none of them. You can be like Alan and not reply or Jarrad and not reply. Or you can be like Jenny and Tracey and look at the question an give a reply.

What say you ward candidates. Do you have a mayoral candidate or two that you would do deputy for?
