South Waikato 2016 Election special 23 Days to go till close of polls

The changing of the guard at South Waikato District Council and Tirau Community Board.

The above video is Myaor Sinclair and Past Chairperson of the Tirau Community Board exchanging flowers before a full council on 8th of September 2016 in Chambers second floor of Torphin Crescent Tokoroa.
This was a car seen in a council metal dump with its wheels removed. White Hatchback illegally parked. With no Candiates sign writing on it. Must be a voters car.

With four wheels missing can this car be seen as changing times in South Waikato?

The Councilors, or votes around the table, that  are ot standing is...
1. Mayor Sinclair
2. Cr. Tua (Tokoroa Ward)
3. Cr. Edmeads (Putaruru Ward)
4. Cr. McGill (Tirau Ward)

And no change to the three Mayoral Candiates will to debate I front to of the camera before social media.

I did see Tracey Deam at the 25th celebration of Radio Raukawa done at the Station with Julie King who had swung into down from Auckland to deliver 1,000s of leaflets to letter boxes in Tokoroa.

I do not do selfies until today when Julie encouraged me to take one. Not needed it at the time but latter I decided to include it in the blog because the two women were meeting with local Komatua who had just come out of Marae meetings with Neil Sinclair. I can not who you that photo as it was at Papa Te Aroha at a private function.

None of the other three mayoral candidates attended the call over Radio Raukawa to attend the 25th year of radio station start up in Tokoroa/South Waikato for Te Reo.

Julie was first out of that meeting and grabbed me for a photo Oppertunity as I had just finished and long day videoing and cataloging the event.

Who I did see was Shairon Clair as a ward Candiate attend as the only one of 26 Candiates.

"Real Jobs and Decent Wage" sounds like a good policy platform.

A Te Reo Language Deputy Mayor debate springs to mind. From the Showing of the Candiates we would have
Tracey Deane (Mayorial Candiates)
1. Sharon Clair (Deputy Mayor)

I did get two emails to say that Love Soup had subscribed to may Two YouTube Channels.

Good

And a got an email from a Mayoral Candiate asking what why YouTube channel was. Jenny.

"Hi Rod, what is the address that I can go onto utube to see your videos please? Thanks"

It was sent at 1.18pm on the 8th September 2016 from a Samsung Tablet. That was from the time the video above was being recorded as full Council had just came back from a big lunch and some of the staff and and some of councilors left the public excluded lunch food room with food in their mouth and hands to talk to members of the public waiting for the meeting of full council to start again.

The spelling of YouTube is wrong. The deputy mayor and social media is using the new text shortened language. So that would be right for the English Teachers who would mark the work of the smart phone using youth who will vote this election.

But unlike love soup who read my blog after the Saturday meeting with Julie I did not get a subscribe from Jenyy to either of my YouTube channels after sending the video link of that Thursday Memebers Information section of full Council meeting.

Was the name early in the campaign given for Jenny Parking the Mayoral Campagne Sign written car out side the Council building between the Warehouse in the 15 minute park for well over an hour.

The matter of parking ticks was raised at full council meeting when animal control give out ticket and when Sharon Robinson of staff report that only 6 tickets for parking infringement were given in a whole month in the entire South Waikato District. Cr Edmeads complained that Putaruru needed more to be given out. And Cr Jeff Gash asked while the dog control had attended 500 extra call out the month just reported and only 1 extra infringement was given out compared to last month. Staff member Sharon Roberson said that the policy is to voluntarily get the dog handed over to be put down (euthanised) as one option and so not infringement notice is given.

If the same approach was used in the 15 minutes car parking out the front of the Tokoroa council building the car would have been towed and crushed. It was not and it sat for well over the time I was visiting the building preventing only people to park and pay council rates. One law for all and so let's ask animal, control to specially target candidates cars like Alan Blair, Brenda Watkins, and Jenny Shattock to see if they can get two offence per car over the election cycle of the Candiates.
