South Waikato 2016 Election special 27 Days to go till close of polls

What is good debt? "Good council debt"

Well after the Putaruru candidates meeting and Brian's leaflet in the mail box I awoke today with a realisation. Whenbrian said 5000 over 65 year olds to south waikato I realised
Bill Smout  was saying something that fits into a bigger picture.

What is the Taupo Electorate of Cambridge District, South waikato District, and Taupo District wanted to consolidate an election win at the general election and to do this a super highway was to pipe out ofAuckland  and deliver retired folk over 65 into South Waikato in the large number Bill Smout talked about 5,000.

Central governments hand would be via the local MP and we see a past Secretary Standing for council. Vivian Rikona

Also the local MP is Woman's Minister and 15 women are standing in 32 mayoral and Ward candidates.

So where are the house for 5,000 incumbent voters going to come from.

10,000 rateable properties in the district with 600 of those farms so the district will sell out and 5,000 will buy in.

If the older folk can buy and live here then of the 24,000 people who live here over 10,000 rateable properties about three people per property will be displaced at that is 15,000 people.

That is the population of Tokoroa wiped off the map if  Brian Smout plan has its way and the current government MP and Cabinet minister holds her seat and portfolio of "Land Information"

The $25 million Dollars of community finds that went into the Drive Trust made up of only Trustees who are members of the Institute of Directors and pay a $600 per year fee to belong to that institute. It is public money of South Waikato but it has no website?! And those current councilors have access to call upon it for money if a case can be made for jobs for the district and promotion.

So a vision for the district quickly came into mind of over 65 year olds being the promotional side of the Drive fund cash and nurses and orderly being the employment to make the beds and wash the lunch dishes in an old folk home.

The central government gets to free up 5,000 homes in Auckland immediately.

And the 15,000  displaced residents in South Waikato would take their cashed up home sales money and move to rented accomodation and a job in the city away from South Waikato.

The boom of retirement homes would pop up like mushrooms in South Waikato as the Central government takes 1/3 of the population out as they retire and sell a $1,000,000 home and buy at $230,000 home in South Waikato or build one for that price. The $730,000 goes to paying off any bank loans and free holds the New Resident in South Waikato with some cash for the supermarket spend or buying into a rest home option in a year or two.

The more I write about it the more the vision comes on line. So who are the two mayoral candidates for this vision. The incumbent Deputy and if the 5,000 cook islanders do not vote for a female because the bible says a man is the head of the house hold then it would be Alan Blair.

Would Jarrad Gallagher share that vision too?

And would a council of 10 Councilors overrule a mayor like Tracey Deane who is elected with the popular vote on youth issue because of social media reach?

 Interesting times

But there is a counter to this vision for South Waikato and it comes from a video I was sent.

A youth and skills vision for the district.

Click the blue URL script above the model plane photo to see the video.

And this comes out of a lecture Professor Richard Bedford from Waikato University in 2004-2005 where the young will refuse to fund the life style of the old. In other words that older population life style of overseas trips and rental properties will be not carried by the tax payers 18-35 years old.

And if the 18-35 year old vote to have a Mayor who has a "dream wall" where the young ones write up a dream they aspire to and then find that pathway to that dream in a jobs and skill expo we have a district that wants to attract 6,000 18-35 year olds and give 12,000 18-65 year olds access to a free hold section adding $1 billion dollars equity to the district to build business.

Both Brian and Tracey vision can work together.

On the matter of how to fund it we have a 4.5 hour presentation for you that dates back 5,000 years ago before Christ and before Moses and before Sunni and Shiite

The book is " the richest man in Babylon?" http://youtu.be/7yIHUXEaFJ0
