The Tirau Hall Deputy Debates has made Quoum 

A Mayor and five councillors can push all agenda items in a three year council term.

An agenda item put by the Mayor gets five votes up and five votes down. MAYOR HAS CASTING VOTE - and so all resolutions pass 6-5.

Of the twenty six ward candidates we have five who have shown willingness for the Tirau Hall deputy Mayor debates and one Mayoral Candidate.  ( that leaves 21 ward candidates not responding or decking and three mayoral candidates not responding or declining)

So with voting papers hitting the letter boxes near you 12 September 2016 all voting could be done by the next day and the election could be over with candidates selected from the popular vote apart from the clean up of signs, banners and billboards.

And so we have a full council meeting 8 September and again 29 September 2016 in the campaign election period in the Torphin Council Chambers Upstairs.

So a mayoral candidate sat around the table with five ward candidates (4 from Tokoroa and 1 from Putaruru

In the audience was two mayoral candidates and three ward candidates.

Senior staff were present to advise.

So the Tirau Hall deputy Mayor debates was just a mock council meeting and with the lack of interest on the part of the 21 ward candidates and three mayoral candidates I have to wonder if the status and power of the job attracts these people.

An oath is sworn to be loyal to the Queen. The Queen took a Corinstion oath that dates back 900 years to be "merciful". In other words we have come a long way from people losing their heads for not answering an email. In other words where the people call the parliament to order and have a constitutional monarchy that is a hard won effort from the monarch riding around on horse back picking out individuals to decapitate at will and for fancy. So our system of Mayor and Council has checks and balance.

The retiring Mayor Sinclair will put up his chains from around his neck and a new Mayor will be seated and a new Deputy Mayor Appointed.

So chastisement goes out to all those people who have dithered in response to the email and to those who also declined. This is not for the faint of heart not is it for your idle fancy but it is for the bold in service of justice and mercy.

These chairs are empty waiting for you and you have been called after you put your names down and did not come to the email suggestion for a debate in the Tirau hall for social media. Two questions. What are you waiting for and why are you shying away?

This man will take you into the Audit and Risk arena when you are sworn I and he was there yesterday giving a great presentation and you all missed it.

I have it on video and some around council table heard it but it would be wasted on them if not standing or do not get reelected when you do.

These staff folk will keep the body ticking over with the other years budget but what is needed is vision and leadership.

By not turning up you show neither vision nor respond to leadership.

You can see the debate formate in action and not to turn up to the Tirau Hall is waiting for what to happen? Wasting $200. 

This guy is the South Waikato News reporter and a media commentator of another publication said he was in the pocket of the council and he is only in the job a few weeks. When the communications officer came over to him they greeted each other like long lost friend but he snobbed others who said "good morning". That desk before he stated was two desk and had a sign "media" on it. CEO Craig Hobbs retired one desk so only one seat now and changed out the media sign and put an sign exclusively "south waikato news". Since then the entitlement of the reporters has gone through the roof and the news paper office left town. 

Also have a video of the person responsible for distruction of the A frame and East Bowling club that was promised to others and who spent time and money on them before impatience had them wacked.
